Der NewYorker hat auf seiner Website gerade eine Online Diashow. Ein Korrespondent berichtet über die Zerstörung während sehr dramatische Schwarzweißbilder zu sehen sind.

In den letzten Tagen fielen die Nachrichten vor allem durch die schrecklichen Bilder aus dem Libanon auf. Was aber, wenn diese Bilder teilweise nicht die realität zeigen, sondern vielmehr Inszenierungen für die internationalen Medien sind.
Im Internet kursieren derzeit Fotos mit Kommentaren, die am Wahrheitsgehalt der Bilder die von Nachrichtenagenturen verbreitet werden stark zweifeln lassen. Im Zentrum steht “der Mann mit dem grünen Helm”, der auf verdächtig vielen Bildern bei der Bergung der Toten von Kana zu sehen ist. Auch die FAZ berichtet darüber.
Die Sendung 60 MINUTES zweifelt anhand des Konfliktes zwischen Israel und Palästina stark an, ob der Einsatz von palästinensischen Kameramäner durch große Agenturen wie Reuters sinnvoll ist.
Update: Inzwischen hat reuters sogar bestätigt, dass eines ihrer Bilder manipuliert war und hat es zurückgezogen.
